This is me on High School Hill in my hometown, Shinnston, West Virginia, looking south. Shinnston High now stands empty, the kids having moved up the road to the consolidated high school. Behind me is downtown Shinnston with the cooling tower of the big coal fired power plant and some hills. The image below looks up the steps we used to climb every day to get to school.
